Lesson 145: TAKE YOUR STAND – PART 2

INTRODUCTION: In the second part of this series, we learnt that we may be called upon to suffer persecution for our faith. If this happens, we must stand firm because we will not be the first or the last to suffer for our faith. And that whatever happens, we must never lose our grip on eternal life. We only need to fear the Lord and there will be nothing else to fear. In this third part, we wish to learnt what standing for Christ means both in life and in death. May the Lord open our spiritual eyes so that we could see those things that pertain to our peace in Jesus Name. Amen.

1. CHRIST IS NOT ASKING YOU TO SERVE HIM FOR FREE; HE WILL PAY EACH ACT OF SERVICE YOU RENDER TO HIM
As far as God is concerned, He requires total submission from you. He wants your heart and not mere lip service. Infact, it is only by doing the will of God absolutely that you can claim to be truly related to Christ. Now, when you compare what Christ and other saints of old had done with what we are required to do today, you will know that we are given an easy task. Moreover, Christ is not asking us to serve Him for free, even though He has a right to do so. But He will still reward our efforts provided they are whole-heatedly done.

2. MAN IS A TRINITY: BODY, SOUL AND SPIRIT. HE NEEDS MORE THAN BREAD TO TRULY SURVIVE.
Let your goal both in life and in death be how to please Christ. Do not let your search for daily bread obstruct your spiritual goal or dun your spiritual vision. Man needs more than bread to survive because he is a trinity and the one who truly survived is the one who survived after death. Death is once per person, but death is not the end of the story. It is just a new beginning. Sign a contract
of total allegiance with God now and your survival here and yonder will be settled.
