Lesson 30: The Witness – Continued; Psalms 1:7

INTRODUCTION: In the previous study we began a study of John 1:7 and described a true witness as someone who knows the facts and tells it exactly as it is. Today, we want to go deeper as we try to answer the following questions:

Can someone be a true witness of an incident in which he is absent? Can someone be a true witness of an incident that is yet to happen? Can you mention some things that are yet to happen which you know will surely happen? Has the spirit of anti-Christ been manifest before in one form or the other? The mark of the ant-Christ is 666, what are the marks of Jesus Christ?

Every Christian has two pairs of eyes: Physical and Spiritual. Therefore, they can see things happen even if they are not physically present, II King 5:25-26. Also they can see things that are yet to happen, I King 18:23-24, 23-38, II King 2:5 and they can hear sounds that others cannot hear, I King 18:41.

Some of the things that are yet to happen which will surely happen are recorded in Isaiah 21:11-12, Revelation 9:1-6, Revelation 7:9-17, Revelation 13:11-18.

The Spirit of anti-christ was manifested in Goliath – I Samuel 17:4-7 (6 cubits high, 6 pieces of armour spear weight 600 shekels of iron). It was also manifested in image of Nebuchadnezzar Daniel 3:1-5 (Height 60 cubits, width: 6 cubits, musical instruments: 6).

The marks of Jesus christ include, among others, the marks of obedience – Phil.2:8. Devotion -Romans 9:2-3. Love – Ephesians 5:2, and separation – II Corinthians 6:14-17, James 4:4.

CONCLUSION:A day is coming when many will receive the number of the anti-Christ. Which would you prefer: the marks of Christ or the anti-christ.
