Lesson 21: The Creator; John 1:5
INTRODUCTION: In the last study we discovered that God emphatically stated that there is only one Jesus Christ. All the others are counterfeits. The only genuine Christ is the One who was originally with God from the beginning of beginnings. Today, as we begin our study of John 1:3 we face many questions like who created heaven and earth, death, evil, darkness etc, and why? May the Lord Himself teach us as we look closer at the WORD.
1. Who created all things? Why are they created? Out of what are they created? Who is the caretaker of the universe? Colo.1:6, Heb. 11:3, I Cor.8:6, Neh. 9:6. God the Father created all things through God the Son, for God the Son, out of nothing. All things thus created are sustained and preserved by God the Son.
2. Who appoints Presidents, Kings, Governors etc and who removes them? Who invested the motorcars, radio etc. Prov. 8:15-16, Isaiah 40:22-23, Prov. 8:12. The Lord Jesus appoints all in authority and removes them at will. He is also the brain behind all inventions.
3. Who created darkness, and evil? Why? Any benefits from sorrow? Isaiah 45:7, James 1:3-4, Heb. 10:36, James 5:7, Heb. 12:5-11. The Lord created darkness and evil because without darkness light is not appreciated or good appreciated without evil. The greatest benefits from sorrow and trials are that they teach patience and patience is very precious.
4. Can we truly say that Jesus created the heavens? Why did He create heaven? Why did He create the earth? Have you any relations in heaven? How far away is heaven anyway? I Chron. 16:26, Psalms 102:25, Prov. 8:1, 22,27, Deut. 26:15, I Kings 8:30, Isaiah 66:1, Psalms 123:1-2, II Chron.30:27. God the Father created heavens but the Wisdom used is Jesus Christ. He created heaven to inhabit it and the earth to rest His feet upon. Yes I have at least one relation is heaven, the Lord Jesus Christ who is my elder brother. Heaven is near enough for God to hear when I call Him.
CONCLUSION: Since heaven is sufficiently near as to be within calling distance, will you like to send messages to you relation there now?
