Lesson 214: MOSES, A MAN OF DESTINY PART 6

INTRODUCTION:
In the last part of this series, we saw that when Moses asked God to introduce Himself, God gave His name, as I AM THAT I AM. We discussed the great implications of such a great and mysterious Name. Today, we wish to look a bit closely at the incident of the rod that became a serpent as we study more about Moses, May the Lord Himself teach us perfectly in Jesus Name. Amen.

1. SURRENDER YOUR ROD

Moses had cause to worry about how difficult it would be for the elders of Israel to believe him. It normally takes a lot to convince people that former sinner is now a saint. When God told him to drop his rod and it became serpent and then became a rod back again, God wanted to teach Moses, and us, a lot of lessons (i) That God can do anything including changing anything or anyone to something or someone else. (ii) God will not ask us to do something bigger than our faith can handle (iii) If we surrender what we have to God. He will give us, what He has, and our failure placed in His hands can be changed to success.
