Lesson 215: MOSES, A MAN OF DESTINY PART 7

INTRODUCTION:
In the last part of this series, we learnt from the incident of the rod that became a serpent that not only can God do anything, but also if we surrender whatever we have to him, He can transform it to something mighty to be used for His glory. In today’s part, we wish to study in some details the first “Passover” feast. May the Lord bless us richly as we study at His feet, in Jesus Name. Amen.

1. THE LAMB IN EGYPT FORETOLD “THE LAMB OF GOD”.

For the first Passover feast, God requested the Israelites to use a lamb for a household. And the lamb is to be without blemish. And because the Bridegroom is without blemish His bride must of necessity be without blemish too.

2. THE BLOOD OF THE LAMB IN EGYPT KEPT DEATH OUT, THE BLOOD OF JESUS OPENS THE WAY TO ETERNAL LIFE.

The blood of the lamb in Egypt kept death away from the Israelites first-born, and similarly, the blood of Jesus Christ our Lord opens the way to eternal life and the very throne room of God. The flesh of the Lamb stands for body of Christ which is the bread of life, while the fire it is roasted with stands for the Holy Spirit.
