Lesson 226: FAMILY WEEK 1987 SPECIAL; BUILD YOUR HOME ON CHRIST

INTRODUCTION:
A house is a building, at times with furniture and all kinds of gadgets. A home is much more than a house. It is the people, not the building, not the furniture, not the gadgets, that make a home different from a house. There are all kinds of home too: happy homes, sad homes, broken homes, frustrated homes etc. for a happy, successful home, you need God as architect and builder. Ps. 127:1. May the Lord heal all sick homes today in Jesus Name. Amen.

1. A GODLY HOME CAN NEVER BUILD ON A WORLDLY PATTERN

A Godly home had never been fashionable, for obvious reasons: Godly home last, fashionable homes don’t. Godly home are designed from heaven above, fashionable homes are designed from below and built with selfish motives basically.

Exo. 23:2; Rom. 12:2; 1 Cor. 7:31; Heb. 11:24-25; 1 John2:15-16;
Col. 3:1-2; Pro. 19:21; Jer. 22:13.

2. JESUS CHRIST IS THE FOUNDATION, THE MEMBERS ARE THE
“LIVING-STONE” OF A HAPPY FAMILY.

In any Godly, happy home, the cornerstone is the stone of Zion, the Rock of Ages, the one and the only Jesus Christ the Lord. The children of God in that home are the “Living-Stones” for the building. Those who are crucified with Christ and alive in Him combine to form the ideal home.
