Lesson 242: THE BOOK OF REVELATION – PART 9

INTRODUCTION:
In the last of this series, we saw the danger of compromise in the Christian life. We also discovered more of the blessings awaiting the overcomers. Today, we want to study the letter to the Church at Sardis, the dead church. May the Lord speak to our hearts today in Jesus Name. Amen.

1. ETERNAL WATCHFULNESS IS THE PRICE OF SALVATION.

Sardis was a wealthy city but its inhabitants were spiritless, soft and lazy after 2 defeats in battle and one great earthquake. The Church there had also lost its vitality and became a corpse instead of a living church. God told them to watch out or else they will be totally dead. Watchfulness should be the constant attitude of the Christian because eternal watchfulness is the price of Salvation.
