Lesson 245: THE BOOK OF REVELATION – PART 11

INTRODUCTION:
We had studies the letters of sin of the seven churches mentioned in the Book of Revelation. Today, we wish to study the seventh letter, which is the one to the church at Laodicea, the lukewarm church. May the Lord teach us Himself through the Holy Spirit in Jesus Name. Amen.

1. IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO BE INDIFERENT TO CHRIST

The Church at Laodicea had the grim distinction of being the only Church had absolutely nothing good to say. This is because the only attitude which Christ cannot stomach is indifference to him. No one can truly be neutral as far as Christ or Christian is concerned. The man who will not submit to Christ has necessarily rejected Him

2. THERE IS NO TRUE LOVE WITHOUT DISCIPLINE

The church at Laodicea, was rich materially but spiritual it was wretched, miserable, poor, blind and naked. And the risen Christ, out of Love, told them so. In promising to discipline if they fail to repent, the Lord was making known to them that He still loved them because God’s final punishment is to totally ignore a man.
