Lesson 248: THE BOOK OF REVELATION – PART 14

INTRODUCTION:
The church has been ruptured at the beginning of Rev. 4 and John had described what was going on in heaven up till the end of Rev. 5. Now the scene shifts back to the earth where John begins to relate to us in details the horrors that will befall those who are left behind. May the Lord Himself teach us today as we study at His feet in Jesus Name. Amen.

1. ISRAEL’S MISSING WEEK

Centuries ago, God had revealed to Daniel, that there is a special period of “70 weeks” in the history of the Jews. During this period, six things are to be achieved: (i) to finish the transgression of Israel (ii) to make an end of sins of Israel (iii) to make reconciliation of the iniquity of Israel (iv) to bring everlasting righteousness (v) to seal up the vision and prophecy and (vi) to anoint the Most Holy. Only one “week” of the 70 is yet to be fulfilled and the details of that one week is given in Rev. 6 to Rev. 19.

2. THE FOUR HORSEMEN

After the Church has been raptured, the beginning of sorrows on earth start with the four notorious horsemen. The first is that Antichrist himself riding on a white horse. A rider of a red horse bringing in wars closely follows him. Then comes the rider of the black horse bringing with him famine and finally the rider of a pale horse of pestilence and death brings up the rear. Thank God we will be gone before these horrors being.
