Lesson 261: THE BOOK OF REVELATION – PART 26: REV. 17

INTRODUCTION:
In Rev. 16, we saw the 7 angels pouring out the contents of their vials upon the earth. We saw that a day is coming soon when men covered with incurable sores, with no water to drink, will be scorched with heart from the sun that burns like oven. Today, we want to look at one of the most serious chapters in the book, may God teach us Himself in Jesus Name. Amen.

1. THE ANTICHRIST WILL HAVE A BRIDE

That Christ was to have a Bride was a mystery until it was revealed to Paul. That the Antichrist is to have a bride was first revealed to john. The Bride of Christ, the Church, is also called “Holy Jerusalem”. The bride of the antichrist is Babylon the great.

2. THE CITY THAT IS ALSO A HARLOT

In the Bible terms, “whore”, “harlot” and adultery are frequently used to symbolize a spiritual department from God by an individual city or nation. In the destruction of Babylon the whore, we see the evil proper for a while but it will never last.
