Lesson 276: GIDEON: A STUDY IN SPIRITUAL WARFARE – PART 6

INTRODUCTION:
We saw in the last part of this series that our merciful God will never allow us to be tempted beyond our ability. We also saw the God uses strange weapons to fight His battles. In this concluding chapter, we want to see how to win continuously in our warfare against the devil, may the Lord bless us richly as we study in Jesus Name. Amen.

1. THE DEVIL IS A BOXING CHAMPION: WATCH AND PRAY

After the victory, the “grateful” people of Israel offered Gideon a throne, but he was too wise to accept to be king over Israel. However, he had weakness for gold and this was cleverly used by the devil to defeat him. The devil is a good boxer; he knows how to use the opponent’s weakness to destroy him.

2. IT IS NOT ENOUGH TO BE HOLY IN BIG THINGS; WE MUST BE HOLY IN SMALL THINGS

It is important to be holy in big things. But that is not enough: we must be holy in all things, small things inclusive. It is good to protect our weak points from the attack of enemy, but it is far better to be get rid of them completely.
