Lesson 282: ELISHA: A STUDY IN DOUBLE PORTION OF ANOINTING –PART 1 I KINGS 19:19-21.

INTRODUCTION:
The reason why God releases His anointing on man is always because (i) there is an assignment that is superhuman (ii) God wants the assignment achieved by a human being (iii) therefore the man chosen by God to do the assignment needs to be supernaturally equipped to do what ordinary human frame cannot do. We pray that God will bless us mightily as we begin this series of study in Jesus Name. Amen.

1. A DOUBLE PORTION OF ANOINTING CAN DO BREATH – TAKING THINGS

A singly portion of anointing can do fantastic things as is evident in the life of Elijah and Samson. Consequently, a double portion of the anointing can do breath-taking thing: things that could be called “special miracles” even through “ordinary” miracles are special intervention of God in the affairs of men.

2. THE FIRST STEP TOWARDS OBTAINING A DOUBLE PORTION IS A CALL

The first step towards obtaining a double portion of anointing is a call into Divine Service. Now there are various types of call e.g. into the ministry of helps. But each call is a call to salvation and rest, to a life of meaning, fulfillment, true prosperity, higher service and power. And of course a life of separation.
