Lesson 283: ELISHA: A STUDY IN DOUBLE PORTION OF ANOINTING –PART 2 II KINGS 2:1-15.

INTRODUCTION:
In the last part of this series, we saw the reason why God normally pours His anointing on someone; we also saw that the first step to obtaining a double portion of anointing is a call from God. Today as we continue our study, may the Almighty God bless us richly in Jesus Name. Amen.

1. THOSE WHO CAN HAVE THE DOUBLE PORTION

The double portion is normally for the first born of the family. But there could be “First born” by adoption. Those who can have the double portion must in addition to being called and adopted also be hard working, humble, compassionate and bold.

2. HOW TO OBTAIN THE DOUBLE PORTION

A rugged determination, a desire that shuts out all else except God, spiritual alertness, an expanded horizon and of course faith are parts of what must be present in an individual who would obtain a double portion of anointing.
