Lesson 292: ELISHA: A STUDY IN DOUBLE ANOINTINGPART 6, II KINGS 4:8-37

INTRODUCTION:
In the last part of this series, we saw that anointing can break the yoke of poverty and that those who need the help of the anointed must play their parts too. Today, as we continue our study, we pray that the source of all anointing will bless us mightily in Jesus Name. Amen.

1. HE WHO ACCEPTS A PROPHET WILL RECEIVE PROPHET’S REWARD

In the story under considerations, we have a lot of lessons to learn. Some of which are:
(i) Those who know the value of the anointed treat them with reverence
(ii) He who accepts a prophet will receive a prophet’s reward and
(iii) The word of the anointed is creative because it is backed by the creator Himself.

2. FAITH IS A SWITCH THAT CAN TURN ON THE ANOINTING

Other lessons in the story including (iv) the devil may fight but he cannot overcome the anointed, (v) sin is an insulator to the flow to anointing (vi) anointing can conquer death too and (v) faith is a switch that turns on anointing.
