Lesson 294: ELISHA: A STUDY IN DOUBLE ANOINTING – PART 8

INTRODUCTION:
In the last part of this series, we learnt that anointing could conquer both austerity and poison too. Today, as we study the well-known story of Naaman. We wish to see the role of anointing in other areas of life, may the Lord bless us richly as we study in Jesus Name. Amen.

1. WHAT NO HUMAN KING CAN DO, THE KING OF CAN DO THROUGH
HIS ANOINTED ONES.

The circle of influence of anointing can be widened through witnessing. Also, what kings of the world cannot do the King of Kings can do it easily through His anointed ones. Moreover, anointing can be carried by the word of the anointed to remove the “but” in any man’s life.

I Kings 5; John 4:29-30, 39-42; Mark 5: 18-20; I Sam. 17:33-37; I Sam. 17:45-51, 1-14; Acts 3:1-8; Luke 13:10-16; Luke 8:43-48; Acts 8:5-8.

2. ANOINTING IS A TWO-EDGED SWORD

The Holy Spirit guides His anointed on when to receive or reject gifts. Anointing is also a two edged sword which can be used for executing judgments too.

II Kings. 4; Tit. 1:7; Matt. 10:8; Acts 5:1-11; Acts. 13:6-12.
