Lesson 321: THE TRUE WORSHIP

INTRODUCTION:
We should understand what it is to live in the temple of worship, performing every duty as to the Lord, most of our worship is mechanical in outward posture and routine, whereas we ought to worship the Father in the Spirit & Truth John 4:24 May the Lord bless us as we study at his feet in Jesus Mighty Name. Amen.

1. THE ACCEPTABLE WORSHIP
True and acceptable worship can only be done in the heart and mind of a regenerated believer; God cannot accept the worship of an unsaved person Phi. 3:3; John 4:21-23; Acts. 10:4-6; I Cor. 2:14-16; I Cor. 1:18; II Cor. 3:14; Eph.4:18; Heb. 5:14; Rev. 14:7; Psalm 96:9; Matt. 4:10.

2. THE MODE OF TRUE WORSHIP
Jesus Christ should be our heart’s love and praises in our worship, believers should be conscious of what Christ did, remembrance of his atoning sacrifice, resurrection, ascention, and his priestly intercession should fill believers heart, the flesh should not be allowed to mar the sacred moments of spiritual worship. I Cor. 1:29-31, I Pet. 2:9, Ps. 9:11, Isa. 42:12, Romans 8:1-2, 5-6, I Cor. 6:15, I John 2:16.
