Lesson 342: STUDIES IN ACTS PART 12

INTRODUCTION:
In the last part of this series, we saw that there are only two sides to be on: either God’s or people. There is no neutral ground. Also, while the sinner has to repent, the important thing for the Christian is to yield. As we continue with our studies, may the Lord bless us richly in Jesus name. Amen.

1. WHENEVER THERE IS A GREAT MOVE OF GOD, THE DEVIL ALWAYS TRIES TO RESIST, BUT SATAN IS ALWAYS A LOSER.
Act 3 closed with the Church triumphantly winning souls by the thousands, healing the sick and performing miracles Acts 4:1-12; Eph. 5:12; Jere. 17:9; Ps. 57:4; Heb. 13:5; Heb. 2:10; I Pet. 3:18; Matt. 5:11-12; Deut. 20:1; Exo. 14:14; Rev. 3:4. And if there is anything the devil hates, it is to see the Church prosper. So he began a swift counter-attack. Soon, Peter and Paul found themselves among “lions” But the devil lost again.

2. SALVATION IS IN JESUS NAME.
The greatest Name in the whole universe is the Name JESUS. It is the name that is sufficient for all needs: physical, material and spiritual II Tim. 2:4; Rom. 13:12; Acts 4:12; I Sam. 17: 45. Moreover, there is salvation in none other than in Jesus alone.
