Lesson 346: THE MARKS OF THE CHURCH

INTRODUCTION:
The characteristics or marks of the Church are five in numbers i.e. Joy, Holiness, Truth, Mission and Unity. These should manifest in the life of every member of the church of Christ. May the Lord teach us as we study at His feet in Jesus Mighty Name. Amen.

1. MARKS OF THE CHURCH
Joy is the first thing we notice in the life of those who come to faith in Christ John 17:13-22; Matt. 11:28; Phil. 4:4; Rom. 14:17; John 15:11; Col. 1:13; II Cor. 7:1; Acts 15:9; Gen. 17:1; Acts 15:9; John 8:32; Hosea 4:6; Ps. 119:142, 151; Acts 1:8; Luke 10:1-2; I John 2:15-17; I Cor. 7:31; Acts 4:32:33; Acts 5:12; Rom. 15:6; II Cor. 13:11; I Pet. 3:8; I Cor. 13:1-2. They should be sanctified by the Truth, and carry out he great commission with Unity and Love.
