Lesson 370: THE TWO TREES
INTRODUCTION:
The two trees in the Garden of Eden typify two deep principles, the divine and human, you are free to choose either the tree of life or tree of the knowledge of good and evil. May the Lord teach us as we study at His feet in Jesus Mighty name. Amen.
1. THE MEANING OF THE TWO TREES
The tree of life is God and the fruit is Jesus Christ which is life in the Spirit and absolute dependence of God. John 15:5. The tree of the knowledge of good and evil is a natural lines apart from God showing self sufficient being. Gen. 2:9; Rev. 22:2; I Cor. 15:45; John 6:57; John 6:33-35; Rom. 8:1-2; I John 3:9; I Cor. 2:13-14; II Cor. 3:5; Rom. 7:22-23; Matt. 26:56; Acts 17:28; Jos. 24:15; John 11:25.
