Lesson 389: JOSEPH: A STUDY IN DIVINE FAITHFULNESS – PART 23

INTRODUCTION:
In the last part of this series, we saw how anger is such a dangerous thing that we must not only avoid it like a plague but we must not even befriend an angry man. We also saw how the sons of Levi changed their destiny by declaring for the Lord. Today, as we continue with our study, may the Lord bless us richly in Jesus Name. Amen.

1. THE LORD JESUS CHRIST IS THE LION OF JUDAH
Judah was blessed because he was the one who rescued Joseph from his brethren and thus preserved the entire Nation of Israel II Chr. 5:2; Heb. 7:14; Rev. 5:1-6; John 1:29; Luke 1:30-33; Rev. 19:16; John 12:32; Ph. 2:9-11. And all the blessings pronounced on him find their ultimate fulfillment in our Lord Jesus Christ, the great Lion of Judah. Gen. 49:8-12; Gen. 37:26-27.

2. THE LION OF JUDAH IS WORTHY TO BE PRAISE
There are five principal categories of people that men normally praise. There are: –
i God John 1:1-14
ii A friend I John 1:7
iii A benefactor Ps. 103:1-3
iv A relation who had done the family proud and Ps. 103:4-5
v Someone who is undoubtedly, undeniably great Ps. 107:1-2.
Jesus Christ fits into each and every category, surely the great Lion of Judah is worthy to be praised. Gen. 49:8; John 13:1; Psalm 107:8-16; Rev. 5:9-14; Ps. 104:1-5.
