Lesson 416: THE WORD OF GOD  (HEB. 4:12) Part 2

INTRODUCTION:
In the first part of this series, we saw the Word of God as a mirror with all its implications. Today, we want to study the Word as a sharp two-edged sword. May the Lord perform any necessary operations in our lives today in Jesus Name, Amen.

1. THE TWO-EDGED SWORD CAN BE FOR OFFENCE AND DEFENSE
The Word of God is a very powerful sword. It is the sword of the Holy Spirit Himself. It can be used to break the grip of an enemy on the child of God. It could also be used to defend a child of God from the invasion of the enemy.

2. THE SWORD COULD ALSO BE FOR CUTTING, OPENING AND REVEALING HIDDEN THINGS:
The sword could also be for Divine operations to bring to light hidden secrets of the heart and to expose secret sins. There is no hiding place from God.
