Lesson 461: THE VINE AND THE BRANCHES Part 2; JOHN. 15: 1-2,5
INTRODUCTION:
In the first part of this series, we saw that fruit-bearing should be easy for the branch because of the tremendous resources and care supplied by the Vine and the Husbandman which explain why the fruitless branch is torn off because it is not fulfilling its purpose hence it is frustrating to the Husbandman. Today, we shall look at the fruitful branch. May God bless us richly as we study in Jesus name. Amen.
1. EVERY GOOD STUDENT IS EXAMINED SO AS TO BE PROMOTED
The fruitful branch is purged, so that it can produce more fruits. This is because every good student goes in for exams so that he could be promoted. We must therefore know the difference between tests from God and temptations from the devil. The tests must be welcomed. 2. WE ALL NEED PURGING TO GO TO HIGHER GROUNDS
Purging may not be pleasant initially, but it is necessary if we are to go to higher grounds. We need to keep in shape, and to reach perfection.
