· “I have a poor memory.”-Jas 1:5;Eph 1:7
· “I don’t have time-Eph 5:15-17

“Memorizing Seripture will make me spiritually proud”-Ps 110.11
·”I don’t need to do it”-Pa, 110: 11, Hob. 4: 12, Rov. 12:11The primary reason why Christians do not memorize is that we choose notto. We are ignorant of the potent power in memorizing bible verses.
Memorizing and reciting bible verse is the weapon of offence and defense in Christian warfare, Eph. 6: 17. Word of God is your Sword for battle.
B. PRACTICAL GUIDE TO MEMORIZING SCRIPTURES
· Memorize the location of the verse together with the verse -You will find it just as easy to say, ” For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Rom. 3: 23. It helps one to locate scriptures easily when you need it
·Learn It-2 Tim.2:15
Don’t get a faint, indefinite Idea. Let it make a deep, clear and vivid Impression on your mind the moment you learn it. You would be able to remember it several years after.
·Read the verse over-Rom.10:8
Read it aloud about twenty-one times. Close your Bible and see if you can repeat it correctly, then to be sure, read it again. Writing the verse is worth a dozen repetitions of it by mouth.
·Review is the secret of memorization-Josh 1:8Review the verses every day, Every week, Every month, Every year
·Practice Use the passages of Scripture-2 Tim 3: 16-17-Daily conversation Counseling
-Teach your children -Rebuke
-Prayers -Correction
-Evangelism -Instruction in righteousness
CONCLUSION
Read your bible, pray every day. All things could be taken away from you,but no principality or power could take away the word of God that you
have stored in your memory and in your heart. Remember your Sword to battle is the Word. You need it to fight even in your sleep or dreams. Epr 6:11-12,16
