Lesson 16: OUR TEACHER
MEMORY VERSE: “But the Comforter, which is the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, He shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.” Jn. 14: 26
LESSON TEXT: John 14: 25-26
INTRODUCTION
When it comes to learning we, all want to be taught by the best teachers that can be found. Because we believe if the teacher prepares us adequately for an examination, we are certain that our odds of doing well and also retaining what we learnt is very high. So why don’t we go to the greatest bible teacher when we want to learn from the bible. The true authority on the word of God is the Holy Spirit.

A. HIS CONNECTION
In Paul’s letter to Timothy, we are told that all scripture is God-breathed-“Inspired by God”. 1 Timothy 3: 16-17. This also means we cannot stop at the literal meaning of the text but to meditate on it and good success is assured, Joshua 1:8.
·The Holy spirit moved men to write what we now read. 2 Peter 1:20-21
·Our teacher is the only one who bears witness both in heaven and on earth 1 John 5: 6-10. In 1 Corinthians 2: 9-11,the holy spirit is the only one that can search all things even the deep things of God!
·This teacher is real as attested to in 1 John 2: 27, from the same text we also see that he is equipped to teach us all things that patterns life. All things without exception!
B. WHY WE NEED HIM
To fully grasp the importance of the value of the Holy Spirit as a teach we need to understand that from the scriptures it’s not all the messa that can be lifted of the pages, therefore, the following are what the Ho Spirit will do for those the children of God for in-depth understanding the word,
·He is the spirit of truth that is ready to abide with us forever. Joh 14:15,this means that regardless of what I may have question about today and forever as long as I have him on my side l wi know what to do
·He is the only one that has revelation power. In 1 Cor. 2: 6-7,11we see that the wisdom we seek is a mystery kept for our glor He is also the one that empowered the writers of scripture. The scripture is full of deep truths that he only can reveal
He helps us to remember what we have heard about the master In John 2: 22 remembering what they heard, the disciples believed the scripture and the word which Jesus has spoken John 2: 17,12,16;14:26.
·When in need of what to say the teacher put words iInto youth in Matt 10: 19, Ex 4: 12, Jer. 1:9,1s.50:4,51:16,
·He enlightens us by opening our eyes of understanding Eph. 1:17-18 as a spirit of wisdom
CONCLUSION
When God commission Joshua in Josh. 1:8 he was instructed to have the word of readily available in his mouth, meditate on it day and night and do what he says the prosperity and success will follow. With the help of the holy spirit all these are doable for those who want both the father and the son to dwell with them John 14:23
